Q What sections are working now?
A The Working, Résumé and Cover Letter Creation, Volunteering, Online Volunteering, Grade 10 Math, Math Glossary and Getting it Together sections are up an running now.

We are currently working on the rest of the site. As each section is completed, we will let users know. If you want to be notified, please create a profile on the site.

Q What will this site do?
A The site will give teens in Grades 7 – 12/13 (ages 12 – 19)…
free access to step-by-step homework help,
the means to help them complete the 40-hour community service requirement they need to graduate (in Ontario) by listing placements near their home and school and letting them volunteer online,
résumé and cover letter creation tools,
the ability to search for part-time work near their home and school,
info on cool credit courses and alternate study and work programs,
  scholarship information,
  a university comparison tool,
a forum to chat with other teens about social issues, and
many other tools to help them succeed in school.

Q Why has this site been created?
A The purpose of this on-line portal is to…
Increase literacy and graduation rates (i.e. to help lower current North American high school drop-out rates, improve aboriginal education, etc.),
Enable the next generation to find gainful, fulfilling employment that meshes with the needs of industry and commerce, and
Respond to the increasing pressure from parents and corporations on educational institutions/governments to better prepare students to compete in a global economy

Q Why are some parts of the site shown in gray – and why is the content not complete?
A We are still working on many parts of the site; the parts under construction (on the live site) are shown in gray.

We wanted to let you know what these sections will contain when they are complete though, so we created a demo site. There you can click through to see the partially completed content for many sections.
