ForMySchoolStuff.com is a part of the larger BT program and is being launched first to fill a need in the market. Teens want the homework help now, so we're working to give it to them as soon as possible.

Today, despite +90% of teens having regular access to the internet (schools, libraries, etc.), only 38% of teens use it for completing their homework – even though over 65% of teens complete their homework on a regular basis and could benefit from extra on-line help.  During exam and mid-term periods, the numbers of teens seeking extra help, often on-line help, increases substantially.

The regular usage figure is low because many teens find it too hard to get the kind of information they need for it to be of real help.  ForMySchoolStuff.com offers a solution: It will provide teens with the only site where they can get free help that is tied to the very classes they are taking, that can answer the questions they have, in a timely fashion.

In addition to the extensive homework help, ForMySchoolStuff.com will provide teens with:

  • Unique tools to help them determine career options that best suit their interests and abilities;
     
  • Ability to view videos of teens who have job shadowed people in various jobs and professions and received insights from these workers and add their own comments based on the experience;
     
  • Job listings according to proximity, category and teen ratings (and ability to apply on-line);
     
  • Volunteer postings sorted as above;
     
  • Post-secondary education information; and
     
  • Grant and scholarship information and an easy means of matching students to the appropriate award and other funding vehicles for which they are eligible.
     

According to research conducted with +1,400 teens, +650 parents of teens and 122 educators and leaders of teen programs…

  • +80% of teens said they would actively use the homework links and related services and that this “would be very helpful”;
     
  • +95% of parents indicated they would even pay to have their teens use the site (and it’s free!); and
     
  • +85% of teachers and other educators will welcome its introduction.
     

In short, ForMySchoolStuff.com will be the most comprehensive, relevant homework tool available to teens, period.
