Here are a few of the jobs that you can do from home to help with www.ForMySchoolStuff.com, which is run by a Not-for-Profit
Organization. |
 |
|
Volunteer Job Coordinator |
|
You would locate and find community service jobs in your area that teens could use
to complete the 40 hours required for graduation. You would need to obtain |
|
•
|
an overview of the company and what it does
|
|
• |
the organization’s name, address and phone number |
|
• |
the name of the correct contact person (and contact info) |
|
• |
a job description (i.e. what students would need to do at this placement) |
|
• |
URL/ web address (if they have a website), and |
|
• |
details re how students apply for the position.
|
|
You would then post this information in the FMSS community service/ volunteering
opportunities database. This is easy to do (you just complete an on-line form) and
we can teach you how in a matter of minutes.

Teen Issues Coordinator |
Teens face many issues that have been identified by our partner organizations including
the Kids Help Phone, Covenant House, Parents Action on Drugs and others. We’ve
also had feedback from our teen panel (and through our on-line survey) about topics
of interest to teens. Now we need to create the content to respond to these needs.
A list of topics has been created (and will be provided); you can choose the topics
you would like to research. Your job will be to help locate the information that
can be used to create these articles. You can use the internet, contact related
companies and community service organizations to get the necessary info. This material
would then be sent to one of our staff writers so that the article could be written.
You would also be free to suggest topics for inclusion.

(suggestions will be provided) |
|
• |

to to participate |
|
• |
Organizing the actual event (we would give you a checklist and list of suggestions
for creating a successful event) |
|
• |
Arranging for all students (or community members) to attend a brief talk about the
importance of Volunteering (we would provide the speaker) and an overview of opportunities
provided by some of the other event participants |
|
• |

• |
Encouraging students to contribute time to some of the participating organizations. |
